Who we are
Typhoon Technologies Ltd ("we", "us") is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17466642, with our registered office at 88 Higher Lane, Langland, Swansea, SA3 4PS. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number C2057301. You can contact us about privacy at alex@typhoontechnologies.co.uk.
What we collect
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. We only collect the information you choose to send us through the contact form or by email:
- your name and email address
- your organisation and phone number, if you provide them
- the content of your message
- the IP address your enquiry was sent from, which our form provider records to help prevent spam
Our website host, GitHub, may record technical information such as your IP address in server logs to keep the service secure.
How we use it and our lawful basis
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to discuss or provide our services. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We will not add you to a mailing list or sell your information.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this website and our email:
- Web3Forms, which receives contact form submissions and forwards them to our inbox
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365), which provides our email
- GitHub, which hosts this website
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to two years after our last contact with you, unless they lead to a working relationship, in which case we keep records for as long as we need to for that relationship and our legal obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, email alex@typhoontechnologies.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
